of training and certification preparation courses, along with continuing
education credit workshops, required by certified fitness professionals in order
to maintain their respective certifications. These courses currently
include:
- The PFIT Personal Fitness Trainer course and

information for health, fitness, and performance programs. Deconditioned,
never conditioned, and/or "I want to move on" population and clients benefit
from the training. Included topics are anatomy, physiology, nutrition,
evaluation techniques, movement and strength techniques, business skills, and
various applications for training programming. The curriculum is

personal use and in preparation for the PFIT CPFT certification and other
nationally recognized accepted certifications, including the ACE, ACSM, NASM,
and NSCA exams.
- The PFIT Rehabilitative Exercise Specialist course
and the PFIT RES-C certification are the next level of certification for the
Certified Personal Fitness Trainer. Theoretical and practical orthopedic
topics are presented for application to 80% of your new or existing clients,
in particular those who have experienced and acute or chronic injury.
The clients of the PFIT RES-C have been released by their physician to
continue an exercise program on their own. The RES-certified trainer is
qualified to understand the basic rehabilitation process as well as
limitations and contraindications of programs needed to maintain or enhance
the client's fitness level. Advanced training in the rehabilitation
process, program development, implementation and progression is provided,
along with focus in key areas of injury: knee, shoulder, spine, hip,
ankle, foot and elbow.
- The PFIT Group
